In April — July 1994, extremists from the ethnic majority murdered between 800,000 and 1,000,00 persons, mostly of the ethnic minority, and displaced two million more.

Children witnessed their families killed before their eyes, people left maimed and scarred. The trauma and terror of this time left the country without peace, without trust and without hope. TFT has played a large part in mending these wounds.

Every year in April, the Rwandan people have a Remembrance Day. A period of time to re-affirm a commitment to peace, understanding, hope and to never let this happen again.

The strength of TFT has become so well-known, practitioners were invited to several of the events to treat those overcome by grief, trauma and pain when remembering those days.

ManAnxious

By Monika D’Agate, London, UK, driving instructor and TFT therapist, shares how a student of hers used TFT to help a nephew reclaim his life.

This young man is a very kind and sensitive individual, high achiever with very good grades at school. He has a supportive and caring family.

He only had his driving license for one year when an accident happened. Driving his father’s car only on occasion had given him very little experience. Furthermore, the country he lived in has very poor standards of competence, allowing people to take their driving test only after 30h of practical driver education.

Where it could be enough for someone with existing skills, for most people starting from scratch, it’s half or even less of what is really necessary to be competent and safe on the road. Sometimes people think that they are born with driving skills and they acquire more common sense as they get older. It’s rarely the case for the former one and not always the case for the latter.

One late evening, this 19 year old was driving back home from his factory, where he had a part time job. His parents bought him a car the week before. He was approaching a bend, not going fast, but when a car came up from the opposite side, blinding him with its high beam lights, he hit something.

It was a man on a bicycle, wearing dark clothing, on a bike without any lights. (more…)

One of the worst disasters is when a country or a people are subjected to genocide.

by Joanne Callahan, MBA*

Last month was the Mourning Period from the 1994 Rwandan Genocide. TFT is playing a key role in the healing of that nation through the work of the TFT Foundation. From the teachers in schools to the inmates of prisons, they are using TFT to heal from the atrocities of their past, bringing forth love and peace within their communities.

I want to share a small piece from an email I just received from Celestin Mitabu, one of our Rwandan TFT trainers in Kigali, Rwanda.

“This picture was taken during TODAY’S treatment at Kamonyi genocide site where TFT was invited officially by the District of Kamonyi to heal, assisting people traumatized with the Callahan Techniques TFT. The memorial site has got thirty-eight thousand bodies plus 36 bones recovered recently and they were buried today. This was a huge cloud of thousands of people led by many politicians, police, survivors and armies.

The thing is TFT is successful to any trauma. All the cases we faced today they were healed. We healed very strong cases of trauma and people admired. From morning hours till afternoon we worked hard to show to people that we have now a cure for trauma and people have experienced healing.”

Rwanda

Thank you Celestin and your team for your hard work and dedication to help so many begin to heal.

TFT in Toronto–Tapping Out Panic Attacks, Rage, Anger, Frustration, Guilt….

In the past six months we have had 18 people take the TFT Algorithm Course and another 14 attended our first TFT Boot Camp. More and more people are finding ways to use this for themselves and people they know.

Russell, one of our attendees at the Algorithm Course in April, shares his comments below:

“After taking the Algorithm course for Thought Field Therapy I can blatantly say it has reshaped my body, mind, spirit, and soul into a whole new being. For the last 3 years of my life I have dealt with a lot of traumatic life changing circumstances. I received treatment from a psychologist and received psychotropic prescription medications for my psychological distress.

Despite the best efforts of my psychologist to help me, through this form of treatment I developed a very strong belief that I was powerless over my emotions, powerless over my circumstances, and powerless over my life and overcoming my past. I developed a destructive inferiority complex and “victim” mentality believing that outside influences were controlling my life, to the point where my physical health became challenged.

I have suffered all my life from an intense fear of death, disease and illness, and despite how irrational or utterly ridiculous that appeared to me and people who new me it was very real. Despite my physical efforts of consistent exercise, eating healthy, and getting a good nights rest, my “uncontrollable” emotions and living in a constant state of fear, prevented me from experiencing true good health.

So what has Thought Field Therapy done for me? What has this form of therapy enabled me to change? I have used it on every conceivable negative emotion. Whether that be uncontrollable panic attacks, rage, anger, frustration, guilt, shame, fear, anxiety, addictions, sadness, despair all with a minimum of a moderate improvement. Thought Field Therapy has enabled me freedom from my lifelong phobias and helped me considerably by eliminating negative perspectives and beliefs that previously prevented me from being the person I was meant to be.

I feel in complete control over my life, a strong sense of self- reliance, and have acquired a beautiful perspective on life I never even knew existed. I am no longer the pessimistic victim I once was over my thoughts and emotions but now I feel optimistic and victorious over them.

The algorithm course taught me how to effectively apply Thought Field Therapy (TFT) not only demonstrated the effectiveness of TFT on myself but also on others while still being very simplistic, straightforward and educational. The greatest element of TFT is the benefit it has given me to positively impact other people.

I considered myself to be a very severe and extreme case to test the effectiveness of Thought Field Therapy; the good news is because of the contrasting experiences in my life they are ultimately working to my advantage now. Because I received so much life changing benefits I am confident when I apply this therapy on other people that no matter how severe the challenge is, it can be effectively helped.

Whatever the phobia, whatever the trauma, whatever the negative emotional response that has prevented me from living my life to the fullest I am confident that the fast, safe, powerful and effective help of Thought Field Therapy will have the same life changing implications on other peoples lives if not greater than my own.”  – Russell

World Trade Center Trauma Relief in New York

By Diane Bahr-Groth

On Sunday, September 16, 2001, Kay and Jan, two women I trained in TFT, and I left our seemingly safe little town of Stamford, Connecticut and drove toward New York City. Unable to simply watch the horror of the World Trade Center disaster and its aftermath days before we decided to make our way into the city and find a way to help those in need. Armed with 2,000 copies of the Thought Field Therapy trauma/anxiety algorithm, a simple paper sign reading “Free, Trauma Relief”, a few bottles of water and a little folding table we began our somber journey.

It was one of those lovely late summer days with a perfectly clear blue sky and bright sun. We decided to put the top down on my convertible hoping the sunlight would lighten our spirits. The beauty of the day made it seem more incredible that such horror could have occurred.

As we passed the George Washington Bridge, just minutes from midtown Manhattan, the truth of the disaster could be seen and smelled. The awful sight of the empty skyline shrouded in white smoke shocked me beyond words. I, of course, had seen the news day after day and knew that the World Trade Center no longer stood tall and majestic in the sky. Still, I heard the words in my mind over and over saying “It’s not there…… It’s not there.”….. The tears streamed down my face as the truth and reality of all I knew set in.

The acrid scent of the smoke filled our nostrils and reinforced the certainty that so many had died. While driving and trying to absorb the shock of the situation, I treated myself with the trauma algorithm, often fixing my reversal. I noticed Kay and Jan treating themselves as well. We drove for miles in silence looking at the skyline which is now and forever changed.

We drove to lower Manhattan and tried to get as close to Ground Zero as possible. We miraculously found a parking space just in front of the memorial sight at Union Square Park. It is a lovely little park naturally filled with flowers and trees and but now filled with photos, candles and posters of those who were missing.

Thousands of New Yorkers were walking through the park bringing flowers, praying and connecting with others. It was there, close to the makeshift memorials, that we began (more…)

Peacemakers Inc. is a nonprofit, innovative and effective on-site mentoring organization, Founded by Hank Roberts in 2000. Our mission at Peacemakers is to assist and mentor the underserved youth, both locally and eventually globally.

We will guide them in making better choices, showing them other options, effectively creating positive change in their lives and in the process, bettering our society in general. We exist to help rectify the high violent crime rates, and to reduce the High School drop rates [which are presently 50%] which means 1 out of 2 students drop out.

It would be much higher if we included the escalating middle school dropout rates. There were 124 murders this year in Oakland, CA as of 12/24/12 alone… that is 10+ people a month or 1 every 3 days. We must reduce this high statistic!

We believe at Peacemakers that Trauma is at the root cause of violent behavior among the African American youth!

One of the ways that Peacemakers proposes to help reduce this problem is to implement the use of Thought Field Therapy to eliminate or begin to heal the high Trauma rates in the three major areas of Psychological Trauma: Environmental, Physical, and Emotional. It is our hope that you will view this video and share our vision of helping in the healing of our much troubled, underserved, and traumatized youth, because ‘This is where the Change Begins’.

When Thought Field Therapy is applied to emotional problems it addresses their fundamental causes, thus balancing the body’s energy system and allows the participant to eliminate most negative emotions and fears in minutes. “What’s fascinating about TFT is its quick and painless results, and its success rate is almost unheard of in the field of mental health in any type of treatment over this whole century”–Shad Meshad, President, National Veterans Foundation & Founder and Author of the National Vet Center Program.

Peacemakers exists entirely on school funding, special government grants, and donations from our supporters. The funding, grants, and donations are now stagnant, while the needs of our youth are in crisis. We need your support now so we can continue to assist our youth and to also expand our program locally and globally.

Thank You for Your Consideration,
John Ivey

Finding Traumatic Roots to Release Today’s Presenting Problems

by Stephen W. Carter, MA, TFT-Dx

As a Quantum-Touch® bioenergy healing instructor I often receive calls from training graduates asking how to handle difficult client situations.

A former student and client we’ll call Karen called asking how best to manage a distance healing request for a longtime friend with serious pancreatic cancer. The cancer had spread to her friend’s liver and other organs. The treating oncologist estimated her friend, we’ll call Jim, had about two months to live. Neither chemotherapy or radiation treatment offered any hope of recovery according to Jim’s doctor.

The protocol for distance healing is straightforward and well known to Karen. Her consultation request related to behavior by Jim’s wife and Karen’s own emotional reactions to Jim’s pending death.

We discussed specific strategies relating to Jim’s wife and then turned our attention to Karen’s emotional reactions. She felt a profound sense of sadness and worry compounded by fear she might be blamed for not doing enough to save Jim’s life. When I asked Karen (more…)

A Public Service Message For Hurricane Sandy Disaster Sufferers

From: TFT Foundation – a nonprofit humanitarian organization that helps to relieve suffering worldwide.

To: Anyone who is struggling with emotional distress in the area affected by the Superstorm, Sandy.

There are two big realities: 1) the reality of all the loss, damage, and problems of restoring basic needs. This reality will take some time to change. 2) the reality of what is going on inside of you in the form of distress that can hurt your body because of emotions like fear, anxiety, stress, disappointment, sadness, anger, and other negative feelings and thoughts.

We offer you a simple way to help yourself overcome the distress inside of you. For some of you it will work quickly and completely to eliminate these negative emotions. For some of you, it may take more time or several attempts to work. A small number of you may not feel any change at all.*

Please use the procedure described and shown on this TFT Trauma Relief blog. There is no charge for this information. We are your neighbors and we care deeply about your welfare, good health, and recovery.

This is a TFT technique (a tapping therapy) to help you and/or your family members. It can be used by most people of all ages. We have used this procedure to help victims of Katrina and the  medical staff of Charity Hospital in New Orleans following Katrina; many affected by 9/11; victims of genocide in Rwanda; victims of war in Kocevo; and with our troops returning from war suffering from PTSD.

You are invited to use this extraordinary technique to help yourself and others relax, get some sleep, and overcome the negative emotions of the disaster.

*If you feel no relief after trying the technique, you may find individual work with a TFT practitioner beneficial. For a list of practitioners go to http://www.tftpractitioners.com.
